MEASUREMENT 2

REFLECTIVE ESSAY

After through the fourteen weeks of classes for measurement 2, I had learnt the measuring work for the masonry of external and internal walls, timber floors and stud partitions, staircase structure and staircase balustrade; floor, wall, ceiling and staircase finishes as well as painting. All the measuring that I study should supported the quality the standard of Measurements, Second Edition (SMM2) by the Royal establishment of Surveyors, Malaysia. It has improved my writing ability for the outline of building works.

At the conclusion of this semester, I will simply twist out the measuring work and make a scientific take-off quantities and Bill of Quantities (BQ) for brickwork, stud partitions, staircase structure, staircase finishes and balustrade, floor, wall and ceiling and precast concrete piling from the draft. I may also simply mark and illustrate the variations in writing description consistent with the design changes within the drawing. At last, I might wish to appreciate to our lecture, Ms Habizah, Sheikh IImi teaching us and granting us more information and this information is very important and helpful to me within the future once I am operating in a working firm.
